The Horses' Sanctuary..
the primary Cornish Sanctuary for rescued Bodmin Moor Ponies......
Shires Holt is now a registered Charity, Reg. No. 1169277
We are pleased to announce we are now a registered charity, and we are delighted and honoured to be able to announce Will Young agreed to be our Patron..
Fantastic news on two fronts is that our latest little Orphan Shelia has found the thirst for life again and begun to drink from the the bottle.. We are also very excited to secure our latest Grazing Benefactor Will Young, who Sheila met today.. When strong enough she will be moving to Will's under our care..
He has asked that he may adopt her and her little herd, which assistance we are very grateful.. If you would like to consider having a small herd do get in touch..
And secondly We are delighted to have sponsorship from www.sperrytentssw.co.uk/, who have provided us with a beautiful marquee for the duration of our visit to Creation Fest.. We are delighted to welcome Tim Francis and Sperry Tents SW as our first Corporate Sponsors.. Please do use the links below to visit their website, or to contact them.. With such generously support they have given us we hope they will be your first port of call when you need a marquee.
Our little Toffee Tofaye settling in with Redford and Ella..
We at shires Holt are very excited today as our little orphan foal Toffee Tofaye, whose's pony mother was rescued from Bodmin Moor has today gone to live with his new parents Redford, our 18hh Clydesdale, and Ella.. After a very excited meeting Tofaye has settled in beautifully.. We do hope you will enjoy the photos of the new family together.. Tofaye has become quite a celebrity in Camelford, and we are very much looking forward to stepping out with him during the summer in Tintagel.
Where in this wide world can man find nobility without pride,
friendship without envy, or beauty without vanity?
Here where grace is laced with muscle and strength by gentleness confined.
He serves without servility; he has fought without enmity.
There is nothing so powerful, nothing less violent;
there is nothing so quick, nothing more patient.
England’s past has been borne on his back.
All our history is in his industry.
We are his heirs;
He is our inheritance.
